    China-Korea-Japan Joint Campus program to foster global leaders for East Asia

    Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Ritsumeikan University in Japan and Dongseo University in South Korea jointly applied for the "Tripartite cooperation in Mobile Campus Project to Cultivate Trans-Generational Cultural Elites in East Asia", which was awarded the highest evaluation respectively by the Ministry of Education of their own state, namely, China: the best, Japan: S Class (the highest level), and South Korea: Excellent.

    The China-Japan-ROK CAMPUS Asia Project is operated in a professional mode with an education center for CAMPUS Asia, which is affiliated with the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture. With the support of relevant disciplines in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, this major aims to cultivate interdisciplinary talents with not only profound Chinese language and culture attainment, a high proficiency in English, Japanese and Korean, but also a noble sense of humanity and broad vision to analyze and solve problems on a level of East Asia.

    Academic years are divided into three stages of "1.5 +2 +0.5" semester, and the combined training mode in universities of China, Japan and South Korea is carried out. In the first stage (1st-3rd semesters), professional language learning of Japanese and Korean is conducted in China. In the second phase of the "Mobile Campus" (4th-7th semesters), selected students will study at Ritsumeikan University in Japan and Dongseo University in South Korea. Universities in the two countries will set up specialized languages.
