In 2016, our university, together with Kyushu University in Japan, and Busan University in South Korea, applied for the Asian campus project under the title of "Promoting Collaborative Education Planning for Sustainable Urban and Building Environment Development in Asia under the Leadership of Human Resources". In 2021, China, Japan and the ROK, together with the National University of Singapore, applied for the third phase of the "Asian Campus Plus" project under the title of "Promoting Collaborative Education Planning for Sustainable Urban and Building Environment Development in Asia under the Leadership of Human Resources", and was successfully approved.

Three universities (Kyushu University, Tongji University and Busan University) established a consortium in the second phase of the Asian campus to develop educational projects and environment, and learn the process and technology of sustainable urban development and architecture. The third phase of the project aims to expand the plan based on experience and respond to the urgent needs of society.

This new education program will expand student exchanges and dual degree programs by improving online collaboration capabilities. The plan will also set up a new joint doctoral degree training program. The participation of the National University of Singapore adds new opportunities for multi-party exchanges and cooperation.
