HU Shuning (Consultant in the Deals team at PricewaterhouseCoopers Shanghai, graduated in June 2020)

Two years after graduation, every time I work with colleaguesor clients from Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK), I always recall the most unforgettable and wonderful four years of my life spent with the Collective Action of Mobility Program of University Students in Asia (CAMPUS Asia). Those four years have allowed me to not only appreciate the beautiful scenery of China, Japan, and the ROKbut also master foreign languages. More importantly, I have met many teachers who spared no effort in imparting knowledge, as well asfriendly classmates from all over the world. In class, we discussed common issues among the three countries, analyzed the differences in our culturalbackgrounds, and sought ways to eliminate misunderstandings. After class, we lived together, studied together, andenjoyed cuisine from different countries together. What a vibrant life back then. As exchange students, we experienced cultureshocks more or less, feeling confused and helpless living in foreigncountries. However, these exact experiences made us students from the three countries stick together and grow into bridges of communication among countries.

Every day in CAMPUS Asia is exciting and brings fresh feelings. You can enjoy bento with club friends under cherry treesin a warm springday, attend anexciting K-POP concert in biting cold wind, or even take on an internship abroad to gain firsthand experience in a foreign society. To build real-world work experience at an earlier time, I did short-term internshipsand part-time jobs in each of the three countries. The most impressive ones were the part-time work in a coffee shop in the ROK and the auditing internship in Shenzhen Ernst & Young. Amidst the waves of globalization, an international perspective is more and moreneededin job hunting. The Japanese-Korean bilingual ability acquired during my studies with CAMPUS Asia and the in-depth understanding of the background of China, Japan, and the ROK equipped me with the essentials to enter the job market. It is also the various communication skillsdeveloped during CAMPUS Asia thathave laid a solid foundation for my current consulting work and allowed me to find the career I truly love. In CAMPUS Asia, everyone has unlimited possibilities. You can choose to be a teacher who propagates ideas, imparts professional knowledge, and resolves doubts, orgive full play to your talents in a multinational company. But actually, your future will be far more than that.

During my four years of life with CAMPUS Asia, I have grown from an ignorant college student in an ivory tower to a consultant in a professional service organization. This is largely due to the international platform provided by CAMPUS Asia and is also inseparable from my personal effort and theguidance of teachers from different countries. In the end, I hope that thelatecomers of CAMPUS Asia will cherish the hard-won opportunities tochasetheir dreams and live up totheir youth.
