On December 15, 2021, the Chinese Secretariat of CAMPUS Asia was established at the School of International Studies, Peking University. The Secretariat expects to fully leverage the international advantages of higher education cooperation and exchange, accelerate the overall strategic deployment of the educational opening-up in the new era, strengthen exchanges and cooperation of universities among China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea (ROK), and improve the program quality and influence of CAMPUS Asia.

XIA Hongwei, then Director of the Office of International Relations, Peking University, was appointed as the Secretary-General of the Secretariat. Professor TANG Shiqi, Dean of the School of International Studies, Peking University, was appointed as Director of the Advisory Committee. ZHENG Ruqing, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Peking University, was appointed as the Executive Secretary-General of the Secretariat. Associate Professor DONG Zhaohua, Deputy Dean of the School of International Studies, Peking University, and MA Lan, Director of the Exchange Student Office of the Department of International Cooperation, Peking University, were appointed as the Deputy Secretaries-General of the Secretariat. In addition, the Secretariat has invited experts and advisors from Peking University, Renmin University of China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and other well-known universities to provide suggestions for its development.
